My philosophy as a teacher using games in the classroom, is
with the use of games in the classroom, teachers are preparing students to thrive
in todays world. Moreover, Games help to develop and cultivate 21st
century skills. Which include, collaboration, digital literacy, critical
thinking and problem solving. Additionally, using games in the classroom
fosters system thinking and creativity. However, from a student’s perspective,
playing games could help students learn new concepts and ideas. In addition,
the games increase, students’ levels of engagement, with rich graphics and
multi-visual graphic elements. Moreover, games have clear, specific goal with
includes challenges. These factors can help students retain the knowledge
better. Overall, I’m convinced, games in the classroom, increases student
engagement and motivation for learning.
