Second Life
A teacher can use SL for their students to build and connect in a virtual environment. Students can experience things in SL that they could not do in real life. Students can visit remote cities in the world and communicate with another school community. Additionally, with the use of SL teachers can support diverse learners in this virtual environment supporting multiple learning styles at once.
I like what you pointed out about students being able to explore other cities. It really is a great way to have students connect with the world outside of school
